HALL BOOKINGS
Hall Bookings can be discussed by phoning the Parish Administrator,
on Tuesdays to Thursdays, between 9am and 12 noon.
Alternatively, by attending in person at the St. Paul's Centre
on Saturday mornings between 10.45 and 11.15am.
Anyone hiring the Hall will be asked to sign that they agree to abide by
the "Rules for the Use of St.Mary's Hall", which are given below.
| Rules for the Use of St. Mary's Hall | |
| PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE HIRING THE HALL
The Hall, including Kitchen and Toilets, may be hired on the following terms: |
|
| 1. | An Application Form must be completed |
| 2. | Hiring must be confirmed with a £20 deposit, which will be refunded after return of the keys and a tidy hall |
| 3. | The keys must be collected and signed for at the St.Paul's Centre |
| 4. | Hire includes use of accessible chairs and tables, which must be returned to their storage place after use |
| 5. | Other equipment in the cupboards and room must not be used unless permission is granted by the owners of the equipment. Hirers using the table tennis tables do so at their own risk: beware of the legs and of the tables tipping over |
| 6. | The kitchen equipment in the accessible cupboards may be used, but must be cleaned and returned to the cupboards |
| 7. | The fridge will not be on unless you turn it on: please ensure it is turned off when you leave. Do not leave any food in it, and ensure the door is left open when you turn it off |
| 8. | All belongings and rubbish must be taken away when you leave: the church does not have a regular rubbish collection |
| 9. | After use, the floor must be swept and any spillages washed/wiped up |
| 10. | The toilets must be left in the state you would wish to find them - remember that children and adults do not always admit when they have had a problem in the toilet! |
| 11. | All doors and windows must be closed after use. Please check the fire exit and use the window pole to close windows |
| 12. | The curtains are for keeping the room warm in winter and to shield the room from the sun on good days. Please leave them open when you finish and do not allow children to swing on them |
| 13. | Any electrical equipment is brought in at your own risk. However, if your equipment fuses the whole building you will be held liable for any repairs or bills incurred |
| 14. | All breakages must be reported when the keys are returned to the Parish Administrator either by letter with the keys through the letterbox, or by telephone: leave a message or speak to the Administrator on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday - 9am to 11am |
| 15. | The Church follows the requirements of the Child Protection Act and all church workers and helpers involved with children's activities are checked. The church does not accept responsibility for helpers and workers at your event on these premises |
| 16. | Start and finish times must be adhered to as other organisations book the premises and will expect to start promptly |
| 17. | Excessive overstay and abuse of booked time will be charged |
| 18. | The heating is available between October 1st and May 1st, but not during the summer months |
| 19. | The hirer is responsible for locking up and turning the lights off |
| 20. | It is the responsibility of the Hirer to organise their own insurance for third party liability |
| 21. | Sellotape must not be used on the walls or ceiling, but blue-tac may be used |
| 22. | Do not leave towels on the cookers because of the fire risk |
