We are the First Caterham (St. Mary's) Scout Group and we are affiliated to St. Mary's Church, as you may have seen, or indeed heard, when we attend parade services during the year.
We run Beaver, Cub, Scout and Explorer sections for young people, boys and girls, between the ages of six and eighteen. In total we number around ninety-six members, with all sections running at around capacity. However, if there is anyone who is six years old or under and who would like to join the Group starting in the Beavers section then we will happily add them to our waiting list, as we will be getting vacancies in this section.
Across the Group we run a wide range of activities, both during the regular evening meetings and at weekends, with the emphasis on scouting and scouting activities. In the coming months this will see us running a number of camps, going out on hikes, going caving, celebrating Burns night and various patron saints days and working towards badges in each section.
