Looking back over 10 years ......
We have rung the bells every week before the 9.30am Sunday Eucharist to welcome people to our church. We practice every Friday evening. At joyous times we ring in celebration, but on more solemn occasions we half-muffle the bells to create a more sombre and reverent sound, following tradition.
Regular extra ringing includes weddings, many Christmas services. Remembrance Sunday, and December 31st at midnight to welcome in the New Year; (the trick is to coincide the 'dongs' with Big Ben on the radio - before opening the bubbly!) How many of these can you remember?
