Annual Report - Parent & Toddler Group

Toddlers playingOur temporary move to the St. Paul's Centre during St. Mary's Hall refurbishment did not affect numbers as much as we anticipated. Since moving back after Christmas we have almost reached capacity, and may soon have to consider a waiting list. The improved facilities make running the group much easier, and many parents comment on the difference the refurbishment has made.

With increased numbers, we have structured the morning to include craft activities and a music and 'sing a long' to finish. We have also purchased two rugs which enable smaller children to sit or crawl on the floor more comfortably. Charitable activities are encouraged. So far in the past year we organised a sponsored 'toddle' in Queens Park for Barnardo's, and collected items of food for Welcare at Harvest Festival and Christmas. Church activities are publicised which we hope some families will attend.

We benefitted by £200 from the Waitrose green disc scheme last November which brings our current balance to £700. This means we are able to replace/update items as necessary.

A big thank you to the team - Claire, Lisa and Arron - for all their help each week which makes for the effective running of the group.
