Several members of St. Mary's have entered the Ministry since the year 2000. One member of the Caterham team was ordained Priest (having served as our Curate during her period as Deacon) and three members of our congregation were ordained as Deacons in September, 2002. Since then, the Deacons became Priests in October, 2003. Two curates of St. Mary's were also ordained to Priest while serving at St. Mary's in the following 5 years.
In September, 2008, another member of St. Mary's congregation, Nichola Riches, was ordained Deacon after moving to St. Swithun's and St. Mark's, Purley, for her training. Nichola was ordained Priest in September 2009, at Southwark Cathedral.
In November 2011, another member of our congregation was accepted for training as a lay priest.
Rev. Frances Baldwin returned to St. Mary's after a time serving at St. Luke's, Whyteleafe and St. Peter & St. Paul, Chaldon, but has now moved away from the area. The others have also moved on to other positions.
